Robert started Jiu-Jitsu in 1993 at the legendary UH Studio 4 with Relson and Chris and Mike. He has been consistently refining his skillset as well as rising up the ranks in the Honolulu Fire Department. He just retired from the fire department as a Rescue Captain after 27 years of selfless service and numerous lives saved. We appreciate his service! Always one to challenge himself personally and professionally, Rob has entered numerous tournaments such as the World Championships of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in Brazil and the Master World Championships among many others. He has traveled to Brazil numerous times to help advance his technique and was able to train under incredible instructors and with world champions. While in Brazil, he met his wife, Pollianna, who he has a beautiful daughter Sophia along with his two other gorgeous and intelligent daughters Taylor and Tehani. Rob has been practicing Judo for a number of years as well at the Mililani Hongwanji Judo Club and has earned a brown belt. Rob is currently a 1st degree black belt under Chris and Mike and heads the day classes at O2 Martial Arts Academy sharing his years of knowledge.
