Matt Dalton is an experienced and highly ranked soldier in the US Army. After serving close to 30 years, Matt will be retiring soon. Because of the constant traveling required in the military, he has had extensive opportunites to train Jiu-Jitsu all over the US and abroad. He trained extensively in El Paso, Texas, and his home state of Conneticut before touching down in Hawaii. A diligent and detailed learner, Matt quickly advanced by spending countless hours on the mats both learning in class, training, and eventually sharing his knowledge as a teacher. He has become one of the academy’s premier self defense curriculum experts and selflessly shares his time helping numerous members of the academy prepare for their self defense tests. Matt is married to Bree and has 4 daughters as well as grandchildren that he travels to see as often as he can. He is a highly valued instructor at O2 and is constantly engulfing himself with the finer details of every technique figuring out every minute movement to incorporate it into his game. Matt is currently a black belt.
